in Focus

Singapore’s hospitality industry is projected to see an annual increase of 9.53% between 2022 and 2027, culminating in a market volume of $1.35 billion by 2027, Statista reported. The country’s strategic Hotel Industry Transformation Map (ITM) 2025 designed five strategies to generate actual value-added growth of 5.9 percent between 2020 and 2025 and to promote decent employment in developing areas such as wellness, sustainability, and technology. Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) anticipated that the local hotel real estate industry would conclude this year with investments totalling $950 million. Investors continue to demonstrate an interest in hospitality properties, which is expected to increase through 2023. Between 2023 and 2025, there will be a total of 5,482 additional hotel rooms, according to the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) statistics and Edmund Tie's study. Singapore’s average hotel RevPAR will rise to $186.15 in 2023, but it will take some time for the domestic hotel industry to rebound to pre-pandemic levels, as supported by a forecast by Cushman & Wakefield.

The Hospitality Asia Forum (HAF) 2023 will bring together hotel developers, thinkers, and practitioners to explore key aspects of hotel operations in Singapore, including development destinations, investment landscapes, construction and design, revenue, branding and marketing, human resources and technologies to boost momentum for collective and robust growth down the road.
